City Hall Cheesecake in Collierville

We stopped by the only dessert place open on the square in Collierville on a Saturday evening. Thanks for being open City Hall Cheesecake! They had probably 8 regular flavors and just 2 specialty flavors for the day. Chocolate strawberry is not a regular! For shame! It's my favorite! So they only had 2 chocolate flavors and I chose the Snickers Bar. Phillip chose the White Chocolate Raspberry. The cheesecake was very creamy and smooth. Almost like ice cream. The snickers pieces really took away from the texture of the cheesecake. I would have preferred not to have that extra distraction. Phillip's cake was much tastier. The raspberry was not overpowering. It added just enough flavor to not distract from the cheesecake itself. If it had had real chocolate instead of white, it would have been a winner. I think sometimes people try to make the cheesecake more flavorful by adding all these "things" to it. Sometimes more is not better. I will try this place again, but I will opt for a cake that has no "extras" piled on top that will only distract from the beauty of what cheesecake can be. Other flavors they had were: Cookies and Cream (which I would try), Peanut Butter, Key Lime, Chocolate Caramel, Banana and Triple Chocolate (which they were out of). I can't recall the others.
